Handmade ceramic cup from Kyoto. Made from raw, textural clay and with a wonderfully unique hand-painted glaze, this cup is a rustic and rich piece. With a nice weight to it and a wide shape, this cup nestles perfectly between both hands.
Two available as a beautiful set: please note the other Dark Cup has a small chip inside the lip and has been priced accordingly.
We found these cups on our first day in Kyoto on a tiny random back street. We didn’t buy them but couldn’t stop thinking about them for the next few days. On our last morning in Kyoto, we tried to retrace our steps but couldn’t find the street the store was on. We gave up, went and had a coffee, and as we walked back towards home we stumbled across the store. Meant to be!
