Our premium, first harvest, ceremonial grade matcha powder is organically grown and harvested on the island of Kyushu, Japan. The Kyushu region is a known for its fertile, volcanic soil that has high levels of nitrogen. This means a tastier, smoother matcha for us! You can see the high quality of A.M. Matcha from its vibrant green colour and its smooth flavour.

Ground to order to ensure maximum freshness, our matcha is carefully prepared in small batches under the watchful eye of our tea master. With a mild bitterness, balanced sweetness, and a smooth umami flavour, A.M. is the perfect matcha for everyday ritual. Matcha is full of antioxidants, nutrients, and slow-release caffeine paired with L-Theanine for energy, focus and calm.

Our matcha is sourced from a single farm in Kyushu, Japan; a region renowned for its premium matcha. Each batch is carefully ground to order from the first spring harvest by our tea master. This ensures a fresh, full-flavoured, vibrant matcha for your everyday ritual.
(2) ORGANICALLY GROWN
Our matcha is JAS certified organic, which means it’s grown without the use of pesticides or chemicals. JAS certification also guarantees climate and environment protection and conservation of soil fertility.
(3) CEREMONIAL GRADE
Ceremonial grade refers to highest quality, premium matcha available. Ceremonial grade has a refined flavour, vibrant colour and smooth texture. In contrast, culinary grade matcha is lower quality and used for more commercial matcha preparation and in cooking. The lower grades of matcha aren’t from the first spring harvest of tea leaves or shaded for as long during the growing process, which means the flavour and colour isn’t as verdant and complex as ceremonial grade matcha.
